Itinerary
Travel to Little Rann of Kutch. Upon arrival, check in to the resort. Explore the desert by open jeep, spotting animals such as the Wild Ass, Desert Fox, Blue Bull, Blackbuck, Wolf, Jackal, various snakes, and numerous bird species. Visit the homes of the Rabari and Banjara tribes. Overnight stay at Little Rann of Kutch.
Travel to Bhuj. Upon arrival, visit the Aina Mahal Museum, Pragmahal Museum, Bhartiya Sanskriti Darsan Exhibition, and Cenotaphs of the Royal Family. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Travel to Shaam E Sarhad Resort in Hodka Village, where you can stay in traditional Bhungas (mud houses) or eco tents. Enjoy traditional dinners, folk music performances, bonfire nights, stargazing (weather permitting), and interactions with the local people. Overnight stay at the resort.
Explore the Banni and Pachcham regions and the edge of the Great Rann of Kutch. Visit Dhordo, Bhirandiyara, Ludiya, and Khavda villages. Later, visit Kalo Dungar (Black Hill) and Dattatray Temple for views of the Great Rann and sunset. Return to the resort. Overnight stay at the resort.
Travel to the coastal town of Mandvi. Visit Vijay Vilas Palace, the summer retreat of the royal family. Spend the rest of the day enjoying beach activities and the sunset. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Spend the day on activities of your choice, such as visiting an organic farm, exploring the 72 Jain Temple Complex, or seeing the shipyard at Mandvi Port where workers shape vessels by hand. Alternatively, relax on the beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, travel to Jamnagar. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Lakhota Lake, Lakhota Museum, and Bala Hanuman Temple. Evening is free for shopping. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Travel to the sacred town of Dwarka. Visit Dwarkadeesh Temple and Gomti Ghat. In the afternoon, take a trip to Bet Dwarka, visiting the Old Temple of Krishna. The journey from Okha to Bet Dwarka is by local boat. On the way, visit Nageshwar Temple (one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Shiva), Rukmini Temple, and Gopi Talav. Return to Dwarka. Overnight stay at the hotel.
In the morning, travel to Porbandar (75 km / 1.5 hrs) and visit Kirti Mandir, the birthplace of Gandhiji. Continue to Somnath (130 km / 2.5 hrs) and visit Bhalka Tirth and Somnath Temple. In the evening, watch the light and sound show. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Travel to the beach town of Diu. Spend the day relaxing on the beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.
In the morning, enjoy various water sports at Nagoa Beach. Later, visit St. Paul’s Church, Naida Caves, Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple, Diu Museum, and Diu Fort. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Travel to Sasangir, home of the Asiatic Lion. In the afternoon, visit Gir Interpretation Zone at Devaliya, the crocodile breeding farm, and Gir Information Centre. Watch a movie on lions at the Information Centre in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
In the morning, take an open jeep safari in Gir National Park. Later, travel to Junagadh and visit Uperkot Fort, Ashoka Rock Edict, Mahabat Maqbara, and Junagadh Museum. In the evening, continue to Rajkot. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Travel to Ahmedabad. Visit Gandhi Ashram, Akshardham Temple, and Adalaj Stepwell. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Depart for the airport or railway station.
