Mahabat Khan Maqbara

Location Overview: Nestled in the heart of the old city, the magnificent mausoleum of Nawab Mahabat Khan II of Junagadh (1851–82) stands as a masterpiece of architectural grandeur. This breathtaking structure showcases a harmonious blend of Euro-Indo-Islamic styles, featuring French windows, Gothic columns, and crowned with intricate silver inner doors. The minarets flanking the mausoleum are adorned with spiral staircases that ascend to the top, offering a stunning view.

Historical Background: Construction of this yellow-walled complex began in 1878 under the direction of Mahabat Khanji and was completed in 1892 by his successor, Bahadur Khanji.

Optimal Visiting Period: The ideal time to visit is from November to February.
