Overview
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, also known as the Iron Man of India, is honored with the Statue of Unity. The statue was built to honor Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s vision of India and to motivate Indian citizens by honoring his patriotism and contributions to the country’s freedom movement. Standing at 182 meters tall, the bronze statue of the Republic of India’s founding father has captured the attention of people worldwide, earning it the title of “Tallest statue in the World.” The Unity Statue is situated in Gujrat, by the banks of the Narmada River, on the River Island of Sadhu Bet, with a 3.2 km view of the Narmada Dam (also known as Sardar Sarovar Dam).
For the ease of tourists, the Statue of Unity will be well connected with motorways, an upgraded train system, and helipads.
