Bhuj - Hamirsar Lake

About The Location

Hamirsar Lake is an ideal spot to cool off on a hot afternoon. Locals flock here to swim, relax under the shade of trees, or do their laundry. Strolling along the lake’s edge offers a pleasant way to traverse the area, with several notable landmarks nearby. The Aina Mahal, Praga Mahal, Kutch Museum, Ramkund Stepwell, Ram Dhun Temple, Swaminarayan Temple, and Alfred High School are all conveniently located on the eastern side of the lake. A leisurely walk from Aina Mahal to the Swaminarayan Temple, passing all these sites, takes about half an hour. On the opposite side of the lake, you’ll find the Sharad Baug Palace and the road leading to the royal chhatardis.
